The Albatros D.V was a fighter aircraft used by the Luftstreitkrfte (Imperial German Air Service) during World War I. The D.V was the last Albatros fighter to see operational service, and it was subject to serious problem of structure. The improved D.Va version, with a reinforced wing structure and more resistant fuselage, was widely used by the Luftstreitkrfte and 1,612 D.Va aircrafts were built before production halted in early 1918. The D.Va continued in operational service until the end of the war.

Albatros D.Va (Udet)
He flew with von Richtofen facing many sacrifices learning to fly. He became a great ace, shooting down 62 enemies and he was awarded Germany's highest military honor, as the "Blue Max".

Albatros D.Va (Weber)
Valorous member of Jagdstaffel 3 and Kest 4b, the fighter pilot Ludwig Weber flew the Albatros D.Va in 1917. After the war, he was pilot and engineer for Junkers and a personal pilot of the Ethiopian emperor.

Albatros D.V (Von Richthofen)
The great Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen, was particularly critical of Albatros D.V.
