Welcome to the wonderful world of Squeaky, a memory game designed by David Spada and illustrated by Stefano Tartarotti.
HOW TO PLAY
In Squeaky, 2-5 players take on the roles of squirrels foraging for delicious snacks to make it through the long winter months. Each round, a player will gather up one type of food scattered about the road–dog treats, peanuts, cookies, lollypops, or candy–then pack it away in their nest. Alternatively, one can choose to let the lumbering street sweeper clean the items up, instead choosing to grab a scrumptious acorn. Once three seasons have passed, scores are tallied to determine the winner.
Squeaky is a memory game of set collection: each player wants to collect many food cards, but does not want to score negative points by grabbing too few or too many. It is a simple twist that has players struggling to recall which snacks they have already crammed into their nest, because once the food is packed away it cannot be reviewed until the scoring round.
This quick-playing game is easily taught and enjoyed by families as well as groups with younger players. Additionally, the Advanced mode introduces a more challenging scoring method where, until the end of the game, players do not know whether they will be judged by how many or how few points they have collected.
