Detective: Demo Kit – Suburbia

Portal Games has introduced the Detective Demo Kit!

The kit is designed to allow retailers to run a demo version of the game for their customers, by letting them play through the “Suburbia” scenario. The kit includes everything a retailer needs to run a full stand-alone game of Detective, without the need to tear open a copy of the game, and without spoiling anything from the base game.

The kit is non-consumable, so there is no limit to the number of groups that can run through the demo. Having different groups play through the case to compete and see who can get the top score to be crowned the best investigative team is as simple as resetting the case deck in numerical order, scrapping the notes, and wiping the whiteboard (definitely get a whiteboard)! The case included in the kit is lighter and simpler than the cases included in the base game, making it much easier to play in an environment that may not be as quiet and focused as a dining room table.
