The Land Rover Series IIA is the improved variant of the second generation of this famous British off-road vehicle.
Available with short (88-inch) and long (109-inch) wheel base, this model was manufactured from 1961 to 1971 and is considered as the most classic and hardy model constructed.
It became incredibly popular not only in the domestic market and other Commonwealth countries but also in the Middle East and Africa.
Our kit represents a civilian spec 88 Station Wagon as built in the mid-1960s and enjoying a long service life.
It shows typical Station Wagon features such as simple front bumper, angled rear crossmember, horizontal mounted side and flasher lamps, side mounted petrol cap, tropical roof with ventilation covers, interior mounted spare, bench rear seats, sliding rear windows…
A good number of these vehicles were also used by the military in many guises, so we have included details like the front mounted spare wheel seen in Jordanian vehicles or when captured by the IDF, plus decals for these military models.
There were lots of optional parts, equipment and details fitted or changed by their owners for a specific work or use, changing a lot its final appearance, so check your references when modelling a particular vehicle.
The main features of the kit:
– Over 220 plastic parts.
– Photo-etched fret.
– Rubber tires.
– Decals for 7 painting/marking options printed by Cartograf.
– Highly detailed interior and engine.
– Left and right hand drive options.
