Used as the base color of British Army vehicles in North Africa and Middle East (and later Italy) from April 1943. It remained in use during the operations in Italy until the end of war, although in 1944 newly delivered vehicles to this area often retained the US Olive Drab overall finish or (since April 1944) the S.C.C. No.15 Olive Drab finish with or without patterning.
